The Astrology of Haumea

This is the first of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University.

Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Haumea manifests in our daily lives with example case studies.

There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Haumea in context.

Uranus biquintile Ixion

Today we are launching our new 'Choose your Zoom Time' option on the courses and offering an Eclipse Special on our first course after the Christmas break. Set yourself up for the retrograde Mars at the start of next year, by securing the opportunity to work with a likeminded group on your spiritual development through that time. More on this below.

But first let's look at the current stars. We are in the middle of an eclipse season which started with the Full Moon eclipse on the 17th/18th and will complete with the New Moon eclipse next Wednesday or Thursday. This is a trickster time, when the normal relationship between our will and our feelings is turned inside out - our will is turned in, and our feelings are turned out. This can feel overwhelming and chaotic, but this change in the prevailing paradigm of our lives allows hidden truths to slip through the cracks of our behaviour, and we are challenged to transmute whatever is blocking our growth so that a new phase of our lives can begin.

With this in mind, I hope you are enjoying today's Mercury trine Uranus. Our intuition is working with our rational thought processes, bringing new ideas and surprising communications. These are both trickster planets, helping us play with our communication and thoughts so that something new is revealed, and this enables us to turn the eclipse transmutation process into an adventure.

Uranus is also biquintile Pluto's-lawless-brother, Ixion, at 4 degrees Capricorn, so at the unconscious level these new ideas and surprising communications might be disruptive, or bring scoundrels into our lives. As we develop spiritually however, they serve to encourage our authenticity and help us to develop a seeker consciousness where we can follow our spiritual bliss.

We are one with the universe, but still exist as an individual, and that dichotomy is bridged by being authentically ourselves in our contact with each moment and with the divine. Authenticity is the key to lifting Ixion out of, what can be, a hedonistic, sociopathic energy and into seeker consciousness.

Ixion is the wild child in each of us that just wants to satisfy our personal passions and is constantly asking ‘Are the rules we’re playing by the right ones?’ He teaches us to foster an independence of spirit, which enables our seeker consciousness and allows us to pursue a personal spiritual mission.

His myth is all about a passionate personal mission, and the planet is in orbital resonance with Neptune, so this can become a spiritual mission where personal passions can become spiritual paths. Where Neptune’s spirituality is nebulous, Ixion takes that energy and focusses it in a personal spiritual mission that is not afraid to experience both the dark and light sides and to go beyond the norms.

So, with today's biquintile, we have an opportunity to integrate our authenticity at a deep level with our network of contacts, and with the new thoughts and communications we are having, so we reach a new intuitive understanding of who we are and what is possible in our lives. In bravely being ourselves, we may step on some toes and, to maintain our freedom of action, we need to practice asking for forgiveness afterwards, rather than permission before.

We need a strong internal passion to guide us beyond the traditional ideas that are crumbling around us in the present era. Our world and our place in it are changing so fast that the old rules don’t work effectively anymore, and we each need to develop our seeker consciousness to chart our own course into the future.

Ixion Eclipse Special

If you want to develop your authenticity and your seeker consciousness, jump into our Ixion course at the start of next year. This is one of our most popular courses and today you can get it on a never-to-be-repeated Eclipse Special deal. To celebrate the inside-out nature of our lives, we've dropped the cost of this course down even below our best Early Scholarship level.

And just a heads-up that you will need to choose your Zoom time, as next year there will be two options available.

Big News on the Classes

Yes, the big news on the classes is that next year, starting with Ixion, we are offering two Zoom class-time options. This will be particularly good for those in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, who are getting a morning Zoom option, and those in Western Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and China who are getting a daytime Zoom rather than one in the middle of the night.

To enable this new option, my long time assistant, Melissa Billington, is stepping up into the teaching role to facilitate the second Zoom. She taught a very successful Ceres course earlier this year, and you can find a testimonial to her work from a student on that course at the bottom of this post. Another graduate, Rae Ann Williquette, will be stepping into the assistant teaching role in the chat on the new Zoom.

As well as the Zooms, the courses comprise on-demand videos and blog-posted assignments on your personal chart, which are consciousness exercises to onboard the planet's energy. Under the new structure both Zoom groups will post their assignments on the same blog, and the recordings of both Zooms will be available to the members of both groups.

Join us if you can on Ixion, and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.

Love and laughter

"I have loved being present in 9 DPU classes with Melissa. As a teacher and a convenor Melissa holds a particularly open-hearted, open-minded space for sharing and growth.  She brings and encourages lightness, humour and warmth to the classes. Her level of commitment and enquiry mean she is engaged and present equally for all participants, appreciating the beauty and uniqueness of each individual’s journey."
