The Astrology of Haumea

This is the first of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University.

Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Haumea manifests in our daily lives with example case studies.

There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Haumea in context.

Saturn sextile Ixion

I hope you are enjoying today's Mercury trine Neptune. This is likely to be a day of inspired ideas and spiritual communication. But Saturn turned direct on the weekend, so it's all very serious as well, and we have commitments to keep and responsibilities to shoulder. He's at 0 degrees Pisces however, so it's best to be flexible and adaptable with this process.

Saturn is currently travelling sextile the planet of authenticity, Ixion, at 2 degrees Capricorn, so this is a period when we are able to approach our commitments with an authenticity that empowers us. This is a longer term aspect, because of the Saturn station, and it will be exact by mid January and go out of orb by early February. So we're in a longer phase in which we are able to physically manifest our authentic passion.

But the old adage of 'be careful what you wish for' applies, because if we follow our passions without being sensitive to all the spoken and unspoken agreements in our relationships, we will get ourselves into trouble. Those who know the Ixion myth, know it ends very badly when Ixion doesn't learn from his experience.

Ixion is the wild child in each of us that just wants to satisfy our personal passions and is constantly asking ‘Are the rules we’re playing by the right ones?’. We need this energy now in our lives because so much is changing, and the old structures are no longer working for us. Ixion gives us the passion to be authentically ourselves and thereby push the social envelope and ask for forgiveness afterwards, rather than permission before.

To enable this energy in our lives, we need to own the bad girl or bad boy inside us. Society and our upbringing have labelled certain things or actions as bad to guide us away from them. Mostly they are not inherently bad, just repressed and labelled bad. So the bad boy or girl inside is like being ourselves without these inhibitions.

The secret to releasing these inhibitions is being sensitive to the unspoken agreements in our relationships. Then we will know how far we can go in each interaction. We have unspoken agreements with everyone. Even when we’re passing people on the sidewalk, we unconsciously agree not to touch them or look in their eyes. But these agreements are actually different for everyone, and the grey area between our inhibitions and the unspoken agreements is Ixion’s play-space.

This week will give us an idea how sensitive we are to these unspoken agreements, because Mars is closely semi-square Ixion today. This is a challenge from our independence to our action, so it is likely to encourage some righteous independence, which could see us cross the line in some way.

If we are not expressing the bad girl or boy inside, we will project this energy out into our lives and attract bad girls or boys to us, to help us with our development of authenticity. So, if we are experiencing disruptive attacks in our communications this week, these are occurring to encourage our authenticity. The more authentically ourselves we can be, the less we will call disruptive energies from other people into our life.

Ixion Scholarships

For those keen to start the new year by developing a more authentic independent consciousness, I have a few early scholarships available on the Ixion course which starts in February. Ixion is a great course to start with, because he gives us the passion and independence to step outside our conditioning and follow our bliss.

This course runs alongside the Quaoar course in the first bracket. For those new to the courses, we recommend doing one at a time to start with. There are students who happily do two at a time, but we are working to onboard these consciousness energies in an interactive environment, so it is frequently best to focus on one at a time.

Astrology of Makemake

We have seven 5-star reviews on Amazon for The Astrology of Makemake, Uranus' Higher Octave, thank you team. And now that we are out of the eclipse season, can I please encourage the hundreds of others who downloaded the book to follow through and post a review or tell a friend.

And if you haven't yet posted your thoughts on the Haumea download earlier in the year, and you liked the book, can I please ask you to spread the word on that one as well. To encourage you, I'm including a combined review for both books below which has just appeared in the NCGR Memberletter.

Join us if you can on Ixion and thanks for your work on-boarding these new consciousness energies in your life.

The Astrology of Haumea, Neptune’s Higher Octave & The Astrology of Makemake, Uranus’ Higher Octave

Alan Clay & Melissa Billington Reviewed by Armand Diaz in the NCGR memberletter.

"It’s a little unusual to review two books at the same time, but it makes sense to combine the reviews for these two recent offerings by Alan Clay and Melissa Billington. In these books the authors manage to connect our local consciousness to the larger picture. In fact, rather than the usual astrological terminology (Saturn demands, Jupiter offers, etc.), they use the term consciousness, as in Makemake Consciousness and Haumea Consciousness. They show us how these planets relate to aspects of human experience and awareness, not so much ‘influencing’ or even resonating with us as opening up new vistas of consciousness, about which they say:

“...the discovery of so many new outer planets at one time represents a feast of new consciousness that is now available to us. The enlightenment that until now was only available to select gurus and priests is now available to everyone. But just like the gurus had to practice devoutly to be able to handle this divine power, we need to work to on-board these new energies consciously in our lives.”

These new objects are not merely offering new versions of our reality, nuances of meaning we already have in astrology (as perhaps the asteroids do?), but whole new levels of understanding. They are relevant to planetary consciousness, not individual or even generational, although the charts of individuals show how these new types of consciousness manifest at the local level. This is truly a new approach to astrology, one that describes metapatterns that need a very wide-angle lens to be seen."
