I'd like to wish you all the best for the New Year and thank you for being part of the Dwarf Planet University community. We're on our summer break here for January, as I put the finishing touches on my new compendium book for our 10 new planets, New Stars for a New Era, which will be launched with a free download opportunity on February 5th.
These new outer planets represent aspects of consciousness that are coming available to us, and we on-board them by studying their action in our lives. Our next courses are Ixion - develop your authenticity and your seeker consciousness - and Quaoar - discover your lucky spirit-song and develop your spirit consciousness - both starting in February. If you are interested in either, you would be well advised to enrol asap and take advantage of the early payment discounts. The best Price-buster deals have been extended on both courses for another week.
The scholarships were snapped up on these courses some time ago, but throughout January we will be offering a series of Early Scholarships on our other courses running later in the year. These are the best deals you will get on any of the courses at the Uni, so if price is your key to joining, take advantage of these early enrolment bargain basement prices, and, if your plans change, we happily transfer or refund the enrolment.
Jupiter, Mercury Direct
Jupiter turned direct yesterday and Mercury turns direct tomorrow, so we're starting the new year with a rush of forward energy. Jupiter is sextile, and Mercury is closely quintile, a conjunction of Saturn and Gonggong that we are having all this month.
Saturn conjunct the Water Dragon
Gonggong is a Chinese water god who was a master irrigator. He enables our empathic consciousness, so we can pick up on the psychic and emotional energies in our environment and channel that energy. Damming doesn’t work, it just overflows. We have to participate in the marketplace of life and use those energies constructively.
Unlike the fire-breathing dragons in the West, in Chinese mythology dragons are symbols of fortune, abundance, and prosperity. So Gonggong brings us good luck, wealth, and success, and he gives us the ability to ward off evil and negative influences, safeguarding us and our surroundings.
Dragons usually embody both yin and yang characteristics, so they signify the balance of opposing energies, and are seen as bridging the material and spiritual worlds. So Gonggong enables our transformation, he brings wisdom and enlightenment, and he encourages us on our journey toward deeper self-realization and understanding.
So, we might experience the Gonggong Saturn conjunction this month in a number of ways. We could feel overwhelmed by the emotional or psychic energies in our lives and be unable to find stable ground from which to respond. Or we could find that our Saturnian lessons are magically assisting us on our journey towards deeper self-realisation. Or we may be able to restructure our lives to bring more of the spiritual world and enlightenment into our material reality.
The key with Gonggong is to participate and channel the energy. We have to stay open to the emotional and psychic energies we are experiencing. Saturn wants to block and limit, but we can’t block them, we have to channel the energy.
Transiting Saturn will be exactly conjunct transiting Gonggong at 5 degrees Pisces on the 16th January, and they have been within a 2 degree orb since Christmas day, and will be through till February 6th. To prepare us, we’ve had this conjunction twice in 2023, exactly on 6th May and 6th August and within a two degree orb from 7th April to 6th September. So, with the 3 beat rhythm of these Saturn transits, events in your life around those dates in 2023 could be culminating now in January.
Gonggong Early Scholarships
If you are feeling this transit and want to develop your understanding of this new empathic consciousness, we are launching the 2024 Early Scholarship sale today with our Gonggong 101 course.
Join us if you can and thanks for your work onboarding these new aspects of consciousness.
Love and laughter
Alan
I absolutely loved the class! As a first time student of astrology, I can honestly say that aside from Alan (a wonderful teacher and guide), every one of the students in the class was a teacher for me. I learned so much and can’t wait for the next class to begin. - Mary Anne Pitt, USA
Thank you so much for this Alan! May many unexpected blessings find their way to you in 2024.
Thanks, Alan 🙏 All the best for the New Year.
