The Astrology of Haumea

This is the first of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University.

Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Haumea manifests in our daily lives with example case studies.

There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Haumea in context.

Jupiter trine Makemake

I hope you are enjoying today's Neptune conjunct the North Node. Our developing spiritual consciousness and our developing destiny are merging together in some way. That's gotta be good, right? Well, if we're growing spiritually and happily making new karma, yes, these weeks will be great. But if there is  some nebulousness or indecision coming into our process, it could be making us doubt our resolve in some way.

Jupiter stationed direct a couple of days ago at 11 degrees of Gemini, so we likely feel the outlook is brighter and have a welcome sense that there is more opportunity just around the corner. Jupiter stationed closely trine Makemake, our systems consciousness, at 11 degrees of Libra. This trine has been within a 1 degree orb since the 6th of January, so we've had a flow between our world view and our opportunity over this last month.

I like to introduce the worldview of Makemake by reminding us that there is no real world, there is just sensation which we interpret. A baby sees colours and hears sounds, but they can't make sense out of those sensations. However, over time, we start making sense of them and gradually we build a model of the world in our consciousness. We develop an understanding of how things work, and we filter all our sensations through this model to understand them.

This model is our Makemake, our systems consciousness, and it is important to realise that we are central in our world view. It is a model of the world and of our place in that world. And, while we can't change the world, we can change our place in it, so we have to be playful and experiment with what we do, to develop our place in our world.

We have to get into our model and drive it around in order to continually update it based on our new experiences. The more we expand and test our dataset, the better our model becomes and the more useful it is in charting our way forward. Playfulness is a way of removing the fear of failure in this process. There is no failure because all the data is valuable. It’s only a failure if we don’t integrate the experience, causing the ‘bad’ outcome to happen again.

So, be playful with the opportunities in these next weeks, and, the more you can open to an understanding of yourself as an organic whole, the better this will work. We are not just the sum of our disparate parts, we are living beings in which the parts work together to bring us to life.

Similarly, we each play a role in the larger organic wholes, or teams, of which we are part. So, the transit could be manifesting as opportunity coming through the role we are playing in our larger organic team. Or we could be expanding that social role in some way.

As we develop spiritually, we learn to see the rich tapestry of our lives in each moment, and we see the cosmos in each of those moments. The cosmos is the biggest system that we are part of, and, at the spiritual level, our systems consciousness becomes a cosmic consciousness.

The more we develop spiritually, the more Makemake’s cosmic consciousness cuts through our personal ideas to reveal the bigger perspective necessary to transform our understanding of ourselves. As we do, our contact with the bountifulness of cosmic consciousness allows us to joyfully participate in our lives, because we feel the profoundness in each experience.

So you may have been setting in place a more complex integration or design in some area of your life over the past few weeks, which is enabling an expansion now that Jupiter is moving forwards. Exemplifying this transit here at the Uni, we have just kicked off our first two courses of the year, which have a new two-Zoom structure, plus new tutorials to assist students with the assignments. I'm pleased to report that it's all working very well.

The trine between Jupiter and Makemake will be exact at the end of next week on the 16th February. So, how can we best use this transit personally in these next weeks? Well, if you've been setting in place an expansion in some area of your life, simply develop that and embed it into place.

However, if you feel constrained or uninspired by your model, and are not feeling the pull of opportunity, try playing with your place in your model by going somewhere new. Our understanding of the world is reinforced by the patterns in our lives. Put yourself in a new situation to see how your understanding develops in that new context. And remember, a playful attitude is the best way to approach this new divine consciousness.

Makemake Early Scholarships

If you want to learn how to change your place in your world and develop your systems consciousness, come and play with us on the Makemake course starting in June. I have a few Early Scholarships to encourage those who can move quickly on this opportunity. This will be the only time that this "best deal" will be offered on this course.

And remember, this course has our new structure with a choice of two Zoom times, giving the British and Europeans a new morning option which is proving very popular. And it also has our new Tutor support program, which provides small group tutorials to help those students who need assistance to complete the assignments. Wherever you are with your understanding of astrology, our tutors can help you participate.

Join us if you can on Makemake and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.
