I hope you are enjoying today's Sun sextile Pluto. Our will and our empowerment are working together, so anything is possible. Pluto entered Aquarius for the final time yesterday, so we're into a period of transformation in the collective consciousness, and the Sun will go into Sagittarius tomorrow, so this transformation is motivated by the curious adventure we are each beginning.
Pluto in Aquarius
Pluto is the first of the outer dwarf planets. His discovery brought us the psychological understanding of our lives, so he talks about what makes us tick at a deeper level. When we are at ego consciousness, he forces us to understand the limitations of that consciousness, to let go of our compulsions and unconscious constructs and accept that change is the only constant.
Because the outer planets talk of consciousness, how they manifest in our lives depends on our current level of consciousness. As we grow out of ego consciousness and start developing spiritually, Pluto gives us an adaptability and resilience which enables us to mediate the transitions occurring in our lives in each moment. And at the spiritually evolved level he enables us to transmute loneliness and separation into love and long term relationships and effect a rejuvenation in our lives.
Pluto in Aquarius is challenging us to engage with the collective consciousness, and both act as a transforming agent and also be transformed ourselves through that process. This will likely manifest initially through clashes of ideals. Aquarius is a rebellious sign and Pluto can talk of fanaticism so there will be pushes to expand or overthrow our consensus reality in these coming years. And we know that Aquarius is inflexible so there will be struggles between the old guard and the reformers in this process.
Ceres bi-quintile Jupiter
To help us with the beginning of our curious transformative adventure, our only inner dwarf planet, Ceres, is closely bi-quintile Jupiter, and trine Uranus. Because she is an inner planet, Ceres represents an aspect of our personality, rather than an aspect of consciousness like the outer planets. Ceres is our ability to nourish ourselves and others, and to shift the balance of power in our lives.
She is a baby planet, who has been misunderstood till now as part of the rocky asteroid family, rather than the Earth’s life-supporting family. So, she talks about early development and the growth process and not taking things for granted. She gives us the ability to nurture a bountiful harvest in our affairs and also brings famine and desolation when we are out of balance in our lives. She represents the process of allowing love, and also withdrawal of affection, and the accompanying loss and grief.
So, Ceres is about the give and take of love that keeps us alive, of which food is one manifestation. The close bi-quintile between Ceres and Jupiter creates a bountiful opportunity in these days, if we take the initiative in this give and take of love. The bi-quintile is a deep flow between these planets, but it has to be activated and engaged with, to develop its full potential. When we do, this is likely a period where, when we give our love, that love is returned. And if we find that we have a lack of love in our lives, then we need to give love, before we can receive it.
The trine with Uranus is encouraging Cere's ability to shift the balance of power. In myth she was abused by the patriarchy, but she was able to shift the balance of power in her favour by withdrawing her love and creating famine. So she gives us the ability to refuse to buy into power structures which are not in our interests. This push for a revolutionary power shift is working together with Pluto's transformative consciousness push, so we can make some important changes in our lives.
Ceres Early Scholarship
Students on this year's course, many of whom were graduates of the Uni, found that the course helped to ground the work of embracing these new aspects of consciousness. Ceres is a goddess who chose to live on earth amongst us mortals, so she provides a bridge or stepping stone to the outer planets. This enables us to ground these new consciousness energies in real world experience, and provides a bridge to access these new energies for those just starting on their outer-planet consciousness journey.
To enable this bridge and ground your consciousness expansion, grab an Early Scholarship on next year's Ceres course. This is the best deal on Ceres and the only time it will be offered.
This course is the exception to our new two Zoom-time structure, as it will only be offered in our existing time-slot, 9pm GMT, because we don't expect enrolment numbers to enable the two Zooms. If enrolments do reach the number to enable the second Zoom, we will reach out to see which of our European and UK students would like a morning Zoom option.
This course is taught by Melissa Billington, using my on-demand webinars on Ceres, so you get the best of both teachers. All of the testimonials for Melissa's teaching in this newsletter come from her work on this year's Ceres course, which, as you can see, was very well received. Here's her invitation:
"I would love if you'd join me in exploring Ceres in 2025. I feel like her story is a key to re-looping the energies of the TNO's back into our bodies and lives. Alan sees Ceres as the higher octave of the Moon and Sedna as the higher octave of Ceres, so by harmonics we can integrate the most intimate (the Moon) with the most remote (Sedna) by way of our daily nurturing of self and others, including our Earth (Ceres)."
Join us if you can on Ceres, and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.
Love and laughter
Alan
"Mellissa brings fresh insights to the dwarf planets. With an open mind and delightful sense of humor, she guides us to explore our charts deeper and discover our own relationship with these enigmatic planets." Diana Vilas, US, evolutionary activist, author, astropsychologist and spiritual advisor.
